Venous Health Systems™ introduces the new Vasculaire Intermittent Pneumatic Compression System which is designed to reduce the incidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
The incidence of DVT and PE closely correlates with many surgical procedures performed today. One method of reducing this potential complication from occurring is with the use of intermittent pneumatic compression therapy. Joseph A. Caprini, M.D. cites that the incidence of DVT’s and PE’s without prophylaxis is approximately 10-40% among medical patients and general surgery patients, and up to 60% following major orthopedic surgery.
The Vasculaire achieves therapeutic benefits while providing patient comfort and the ability to maintain complete freedom and mobility.
