Derma Sciences Algicell® Ag Impreg Cal Alginate, 1.4% silver, provides superior bactericidal action that goes to work almost immediately. With its sophisticated ionic transfer technology, the dressing provides an effective barrier to bacterial penetration, and protects the wound against bacterial colonization. Algicell® Ag Calcium Alginate Dressing with Antimicrobial Silver. Can be used to reduce the risk of infection in moderately to heavily exuding wounds that include: Diabetic foot ulcers, Leg ulcers (venous stasis ulcers, arterial ulcers and leg ulcers of mixed etiology), Pressure ulcers/sores (partial and full thickness).

Derma Sciences Aquasite® Sheet Hydrogel - Sterile is useful for the hydration of the wound site and is used as a cover over deep wounds or as a primary dressing over partial thickness wounds.  Patient's like the hydrogel sheets due to their cooling and soothing properties upon application.  Indicated for the management of acute and chronic wounds.  Does not contain natural rubber latex.

Derma Sciences MEDIHONEY® Calcium Alginate Dressing  is a novel honey-based dressing for moderately to heavily exuding wounds.  The dressing contains 95% Active Leptospermum Honey and can be used to cover a shallow wound or fill a deep wound, while providing a moist environment conducive to wound healing.  Leptospermum Honey has been shown to have several properties which assist in promoting an optimal healing environment.  It has a low pH, and has been shown to help lower the overall wound pH, which is beneficial to chronic wounds.  Does not contain natural rubber latex.

Derma Sciences MEDIHONEY® Paste Dressing is a special type of honey indigenous to New Zealand, called Active Leptospermum (or Manuka) Honey.  This honey has been shown to have unique properties that are advantageous to wound healing, including a low pH and high osmolality.  MEDIHONEY® is indicated for use on lightly to moderately exuding wounds, or wounds that are difficult to manage due to their odd shape or placement on the body.  This non-toxic dressing can be used as a cornerstone for wound bed preparation, and throughout all the phases of wound healing.  Does not contain natural rubber latex.

Derma Sciences Sorbacell® Foam Dressing provides maximum absorption of wound fluid.  It is extremely flexible and conformable, and also can be used as a filler for deep cavities.  Sorbacell is non-adhesive, therefore a secondary dressing or medical tape is needed to hold the dressing in place.  This foam does not have an outer film layer and is ideal for use under compression.  For use on moderately to heavily exuding wounds.   Does not contain natural rubber latex.

Derma Sciences Xeroform Petrolatum Dressing - Sterile. Xeroform impregnated dressings are similar to Petrolatum Gauze dressings, with the addition of 3% bismuth tribromophenate. They are the impregnated dressing of choice for when mild medication or deodorizing are required, such as post-operative applications, 1st and 2nd degree burns, and skin grafts. Does not contain natural rubber latex.

Derma Sciences XTRASORB® Super Absorbent Dressing is a novel super-absorbent wound dressing.  At its core is a super-absorbent polymer that allows the dressing to absorb significantly increased amounts of fluid as compared to that of typical highly absorbent dressings.   XTRASORB®'s super absorbent polymer converts fluid within the dressing into a gel.  This keeps the fluid bound within the dressing and away from the patient's skin.  The dressing is designed to decrease dressing change frequency, to reduce the risk of maceration, and to protect the patient's skin from harmful components within wound fluid that can impeded wound healing.  Does not contain natural rubber latex.
