Specialty Compression

Specialty lymphedema garments bring enhanced compression technology to the aid of patients with primary and secondary lymphedema.

Designed to improve upon multi-layer wraps that are conventionally prescribed as part of a normal course of manual lymph drainage, these products have demonstrated significant improvement due to their comfort and ease of use.

Generally designed as a two-part system, these products are composed of an inner compression pad and an external compression binder. The inner component is a form filled pad or form insert tailored in the shape of the affected extremity, gently sliding over it snugly. The outer binder adds controlled compression and can take the form of short stretch bandaging or an outer appliance with adjustable Velcro closures.

Specialty lymphedema garments are an excellent option for patients who utilize multi-layer bandaging as a component of their therapy. While the conventional bandages and wraps can be very useful, they do have limitations. Most importantly, bandages and wraps are often difficult to apply properly and consistently, and if not applied correctly, they can obstruct lymphatic flow.

Compression Garment, Breast

Simply put, conventional bras are not designed to deal effectively with lymphedema or post-surgical discomfort in the chest and breast area. The thin straps, non-stretch cups, and under-wires found in conventional bras can increase pain and irritate tender tissue. The Breast Compression Garments utilize expert engineering, state-of-the-art fabrication and high-quality construction to apply continuous gentle compression and support to the chest and breast area, and can be worn comfortably and unobtrusively under clothing.

Specialty Quilted Foam Lower Extremity Lymphedema Garments provide a consistent, snug fit, eliminating the need of multi-layer bandaging and are quickly and easily applied. They significantly increasing compliance and help to stabilize daily fluid fluctuations.

Compression Garment, Quilted Foam, Lower Body

The Quilted Foam, Lower Body Garments extend from mid-thigh to high waist. The Solaris and Jovi Pak® brands are ideal for fighting Lymphedema and for clients who require bandaging of the lower leg, and also need coverage of the buttocks and abdomen. Add the Boxer Jacket for extra strength and as a replacement for compression bandaging.

Compression Pads

Specialty compression breast and chest wall pads are filled with a low ILD foam to protect tender or compromised tissue in the breast and chest areas. Some of the pads are designed to replace "chip bags" used by therapists during treatment. They are washable and can be autoclaved as the foam fill is stable to 300 degrees F.

Bandaging, Quilted Foam Liners

Our Quilted Foam Bandage Liners are comfortable, durable, and cost-effective. The garments help to decrease the patient's stress levels, thus increasing patient compliance. The garments create localized tissue stretch, opening the initial lymphatic gaps to encourage reabsorption of interstitial fluids and particles.
